Central European University's summer school (June 7-July 30, 2010) is a program in English for graduate students, university teachers, researchers and professionals in the social sciences and humanities. It draws its student body of around 500 participants annually from more than 60 countries and its faculty from over 30 countries. Deadline for applications: February 15, 2010.

The ECPR Standing Group on Federalism and Regionalism, together with the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania and the Romanian Institute for Research on National Minorities (ISPMN), will organize an international conference entitled ‘Minority Politics within the Europe of Regions’. The Eastern Mediterranean University invites participation in the second edition of Mediterranean Worlds Conference, an interdisciplinary conference on the narratives of this remarkable region. What is of express interest to this conference is the way in which civilisational shifts, fusions, faultlines and oscillations of the Mediterranean world have given rise to extraordinary interpretations, life-world strategies and symbolic constructions. Such activity is manifested in the remarkable literature and art, philosophies, religions, archaeological readings, political theories and economic practices of the region.
