"Digital Edition and Preservation: Perspectives on Metadata" is the title of the conference wich will be held in Vienna, Austria on 12-13 November 2009, hosted by a project team drawn from the Center for Information Modelling in the Humanities at the University of Graz, the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Vienna and the Vienna University Library and Archive Services.

Due to ongoing digitization processes, the topic of structuring and modelling content is being avidly discussed and new approaches are being developed. The conference focuses on investigating multiple approaches to metadata strategies and looks at how these strategies can support digital edition and preservation projects.
