The New German Review: A Journal of Germanic Studies published at UCLA welcomes contributions for its 24th volume 2009. Deadline for submissions: March 2, 2009.

Since 1985, the New German Review has been a medium for graduate students, post-docs, and junior faculty to share their ideas with the academic community worldwide.

We publish articles on German, Scandinavian and Dutch literature, but we strongly encourage contributions within the broader field of Germanic studies, including articles that deal with art, cultural studies, history, literature, linguistics, and philosophy. Book reviews, new translations, and interviews also form an essential part of our publication.

The New German Review is peer-reviewed and edited by graduate students in the Department of Germanic Languages at UCLA. All contributions will be listed in the MLA database.

Submissions must comply with MLA conventions, with endnotes and works cited. Articles should be between 15 and 25 pages, and book reviews should not exceed 2 pages. Please submit manuscripts prepared for blind review in electronic form by Monday, March 2nd 2009 to: NGR@humnet.ucla.edu.

Postal address: New German Review Department of Germanic Languages 212 Royce Hall Box 951539 University of California Los Angeles UCLA Los Angeles, CA 90095-1539.
