Abstracts of 200 words or less (in .doc, .docx, or .rtf formats) should be submitted by 30 April 2010 to Dr. Barbara Su’ec Michieli (barbara.susec-michieli@agrt.uni-lj.si) and Prof. Steve Wilmer (swilmer@tcd.ie). The authors whose abstracts are accepted will receive confirmation of acceptance by 10 May 2010. Complete papers should be sent by 1 September 2010. Selected papers may be invited to be developed further for publication in a hard copy volume.

The international Festival-Fair "THEATRE METHODS 08 - Between Tradition and Contemporaneity" is held on July 7-13, 2008 in Malpils, Latvia.
 
The annual professional festival-fair is bringing up the question of the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. The Festival is uniting performers from all over the world interested in the research of theatre methods between tradition and contemporaneity.

Die Praxis des Open Access bildet unverkennbar ein Thema und rückt immer weiter in den Vordergrund. Insofern ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass es auch hier zu einer Art von "Parallelaktion" kommt: Am 9. und 10. Oktober 2008 veranstalten die Betreiber/innnen der Informationsplattform open-access.net, Freie Universität Berlin, Center für Digitale Systeme, in Kooperation mit der Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft und der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft, Berlin
an der Freien Universität Berlin, im Foyer der Rost- und Silberlaube, Habelschwerdter Allee 45, 14195 Berlin eine informative Konferenz zu diesem Thema. Infos und Materialien finden sich auf der Website der Plattform.
