"Mitten im Westen dem Osten begegnen" heißt es vom 6. bis 12. April 2011 erneut in Wiesbaden. goEast – Festival des mittel- und osteuropäischen Films, das vom Deutschen Filminstitut – DIF veranstaltet wird, blickt über Grenzen hinweg, entdeckt Ästhetiken, Themen und Talente. An sieben Festivaltagen werden aktuelles Autorenkino, engagierte Dokumentarfilmkunst, filmhistorische Besonderheiten und ein umfangreiches Rahmenprogramm präsentiert – die ganze Vielfalt und visuelle Kraft östlicher (Film-)Kultur wird gefeiert!

“Meet the East in the heart of the West” at goEast – Festival of Central and Eastern European Film (6–12 April, 2011). Staged in Wiesbaden by Deutsches Film Institut – DIF, the annual festival pushes back borders in search of aesthetic innovation, topical themes, fresh talent. Together with numerous accompanying events, goEast offers seven days of contemporary fiction and documentary productions as well as film-historical rarities: a celebration of cinematic and artistic diversity in Europe’s east.
