Prof. Robert J. Donia (see his article on Kk.rev), President of the Council of the International Institute for Middle East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) and Associate Professor at the University of Michigan Dr. Robert J. Donia will be visiting Slovenia from 3 to 10 November 2007 and give some lectures.
Tuesday, 6 November 2007 at 16.00 PM, Center Evropa, Dalmatinova 4, Ljubljana:
- Lecture delivered by Dr. Robert J. Donia with the following topic: Variants of Violence: National and Religious Extremism in the Balkans. The lecture is organised by the IFIMES International Institute in co-operation with the Government Communication Office and Center Evropa. The discussion with the lecturer will be moderated by Zijad Be?irovi?, M.A., and Dr. Milan Jazbec.
Wednesday, 7 November 2007 at 17.00 PM, Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU), Prešeren's Hall, Novi trg 4, Ljubljana:
- Lecture delivered by Dr. Robert J. Donia with the following topic: Fifteen Years of the Hague Tribunal: Has It Advanced International Justice? The lecture is organised by SAZU in co-operation with the IFIMES International Institute. The lecturer will be presented by Mrs. Alenka Šelih, Vice-President of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Thursday, 8 November 2007 at 08.30 AM, University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences (FDV), lecture room 3, Kardeljeva ploš?ad 5, Ljubljana:
- Lecture delivered by Dr. Robert J. Donia with the following topic: Space and Spectacle: The Visual Dimension of Communal Relations in Southeast Europe. The lecture will be held as a part of the university course "Comparative Political Systems" given by Assist. Prof. Jernej Pikalo.
Friday, 9 November 2007 at 19.00 PM, “Škrabec Homestead“, Hrova?a 42, Ribnica:
- Presentation of the latest book by Dr. Robert J. Donia Sarajevo: A Biography, published by Hurst and Co., London. The discussion with the author will be moderated Dr. Milan Jazbec.
