The site is designed principally with researchers and academics in mind, but will also be of use to students, educational and cultural policy professionals, teachers, and informed general users.

We had some Call for Papers by the The International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) in June/July, now here is another one, this time for POLITIKON - The IAPSS Journal of Political Science and its 11th Issue.
POLITIKON is an academic journal meant to offer a proper framework for students - under and postgraduate - who have a special interest in Political Science.

The reform of cultural policies in South East Europe is recorded in a new book,

Hanneloes Weeda , Corina Şuteu and Cas Smithuijsen (Eds.): The Arts, Politics and Change. Participative Cultural Policy-making in South East Europe. Amsterdam: Boekmanstudies 2005, 288 pp. [ISBN 90-6650-081-6; EUR 29,50],

in which practitioners and experts on cultural policy describe the results achieved to date.
They think that sensible cultural policy frameworks are key to developing a stable cultural sector and flourishing cultural activity. And they are doubtless right that since the political changes in South East Europe in the 1990s a participative reform of the previously state-funded cultural system and a strengthening of the independent sector in South East Europe proved to be necessary for many (and different) reasons.
