The Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Literatures and the Center for Slavic and East European Studies at The Ohio State University are announcing the Third Graduate Colloquium on Slavic Linguistics. The colloquium will take place on the Ohio State campus in Columbus, Ohio (USA) on MARCH 3, 2006, in conjunction with the Midwest Slavic Conference.

The Central European University offers within the framework of her SUMMER SCHOOL IN BUDAPEST 15 courses in the social sciences and humanities for graduate students, junior researchers, professors and professionals.

The Summer University (SUN) program hosts high-level, research-oriented, interdisciplinary and innovative academic courses as well as workshops on policy issues for professional development in the social sciences and the humanities.

KulturKontakt Austria zeigt von 10.-29.01.2006 (Vernissage: 09. 01.), in seiner Galerie ArtPoint in einer Work-in-Progress-Ausstellung das Projekt Czernowitzer Austria des "Instituts für kulturresistente Güter". Zentrale Themen sind dabei der Umgang mit Symbolen, der europäischen Identität und Geschichte.

Kuratiert wird das Projekt von Boris Ondrejicka, Jiri Sevcik, Lucas Gehrmann und Anna Maria Potocka.

Seit 2003 veranstaltet das IFK seine jährliche Akademie. Das IFK verbindet damit folgende Ziele:

• Stärkung kulturwissenschaftlicher Verfahren und Perspektiven in den Humanwissenschaften
• Nachwuchsförderung im Wege einer intensiven Zusammenarbeit von jungen und bereits arrivierten ForscherInnen.

Zielgruppe sind DoktorandInnen und PostdoktorandInnen, die nicht älter als 35 Jahre sind und ein zentrales Interesse am Projekt der Kulturwissenschaften und Cultural Studies haben.
