The National Association of Young Historians of Moldova and the World History Department (Partner Department of the OSI-HESP-AFP) of the "Ion Creanga" State Pedagogical University are inviting to participate at 10th edition of the International Academic Conference History, Culture and Civilization in Southeastern Europe, which will take place in Chişinău, Republic of Moldova, during April 13-16, 2006.
Conference activity will be structured in three panels:
  • I panel: Archaeology between Science, Ideology and Propaganda
  • II panel: Issues in Teaching and Researching Early Modern History (the 16th – 18th centuries)
  • III panel: History and the Bologna Process: curricula development, teaching and research
The working languages of the conference are Romanian and English.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be a faculty member, PhD, MA, PhD student;
  • Scientific interest in the proposed subjects;
  • Good Command of Romanian and/or English;
  • Application form and one-page paper proposal (500 words).

Application deadline is March 15, 2006.

Arriving day – Morning of April 13, Departure day – April 16, 2006

Organizers will cover all expanses related to participation in the conference (accommodation, meal). Participants are expected to cover costs for travel and visa.
