On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of one of the most significant Serbian composer, Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac (1856-1914), the editorial board of the International Magazine for music New Sound in Belgrade has decided to devote its second issue in the year 2006 (no. 28) to Mokranjac’s creative output, as well as to different aspects of the individual and collective, the traditional and contemporary, in the context of choral music, societies, and performance practices.
