Auf die dringliche Empfehlung eines Teilnehmers aus dem Vorjahr hin (womit wir auch gleich ein hübsch zu benennendes neues Thema starten können):

Séminaire international sur le dix-huitième siècle 2005 (Anciennement Séminaire Est-Ouest)
La Société internationale d'étude du dix-huitième siècle (SIEDS) invite les étudiants de toutes disciplines se rapportant à l'étude du dix-huitième siècle à poser leur candidature au Séminaire international sur le dix-huitième siècle (anciennement Séminaire Est-Ouest) qui aura lieu du 24 au 30 octobre 2005 à Gênes. Le séminaire aura comme sujet L’Idée d’Europe au XVIIIe siècle.

International Seminar on the Eighteenth Century 2005 (Formerly the East-West Seminar)
The International Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ISECS) invites applications from scholars in all fields of eighteenth-century studies to participate in the International Seminar on the Eighteenth Century (formerly the East-West Seminar) which will be held 24-30 October 2005. The theme of the seminar will be The Idea of Europe in the 18th Century.

Entre 12 et 20 candidats seront retenus pour qui les frais d'hébergement, de restauration et (sous réserve des possibilités de financement et des besoins des candidats) de transport seront pris en charge.
La préférence sera donnée aux chercheurs en début de carrière (doctorat ou équivalent postérieur à 1995). Pour les essais à présenter comme pour les discussions et débats, les langues de communication seront l'anglais, le français, et l’italien.

Les dossiers de candidature doivent inclure les informations suivantes:

1. Un bref curriculum vitae avec la date d'obtention de votre doctorat ou équivalent, et une liste de vos principales publications et conférences professionnelles,
2. Une description de votre essai en 250-500 mots,
3. Des informations complètes sur votre niveau en langues etrangères,
4. Une lettre de recommendation, que le repondant est invité à envoyer sous pli separé.

Space in the seminar is limited to twenty participants. Lodging and meals will be provided. Subject to funding and individual need, some travel assistance may also be available.
Preference will be given to scholars early in their career (doctorate or equivalent post-1995). They should be able to speak French, English, or Italian.

Applications should include the following information:

1. A short curriculum vitae with date of PhD (or equivalent) and list of principal publications and scholarly presentations
2. A brief description of the proposed paper (250-500 words)
3. A statement about proficiency in foreign languages
4. One letter of recommendation, which can be sent separately by the referee.
