This international conference, taking place on December 4th-5th, 2009 in the Cornerhouse, Manchester, is part of POLSKA! YEAR in the United Kingdom. Deutsche und Polen
Eine Liste jener Filme, die noch bis Ende August im Rahmen der Reihe Deutsche und Polen im Berliner Zeughauskino aus Anlass des 70. Jahrestages des deutschen Überfalls auf Polen gezeigt werden, könnte auch für die Leser dieses Weblogs von großem Interesse sein (sie ist auch als PDF abrufbar). Die Schau findet begleitend zur gleichnamigen Ausstellung des Deutschen Historischen Museums (bis 6. September 2009) statt und präsentiert sowohl deutsche als auch polnische Produktionen, welche über die Ereignisse der Jahre 1939 bis 1945 hinaus "eine mehr als sechshundertjährige Geschichte der deutsch-polnischen Beziehungen erzählen und ein wechselhaftes, immer facettenreicher werdendes Bild des jeweils Anderen zeichnen“.
