[ Call for Papers - Call for Entries ]

1) for the ANONIMUL International Independent Film Festival in Sfantu Gheorghe, Danube Delta, Romania – Deadline 9th of June.
2) for the Cinefest International Festival of Young Filmmakers in Miskolc, Hungary – Deadline 30th of June.
3) for a new international Filmfestival in Eger, Hungary: Slow Film FestDeadline 30st of June.

1) The ANONIMUL FF will take place between 13th and 19th of August 2007.

The Festival has three competitive sections:

  • feature competition
  • fiction short competition
  • animation short competition
    (There is no submission fee!)

    and non-competitive programs:

    International Panorama - feature films awarded in Film Festivals that year, homage, tributes, screening of Romanian recent films, special programs, debates audience – film crews – film critics - guests.

    2) How to enter a film for the Cinefest (16–23 September 2007):

    The Festival accepts films in the following categories:

    Long Feature Films (60 minutes or longer)
    Short Feature Films (less than 60 minutes)
    Documentary Films (60 minutes at most)
    Animation Films
    Experimental Films

    The director of the film should be under the age of 35 years when making the film. Productions made after or in 2005 may be entered to the 2007 Festival. There is no entry fee. The official languages of the festival are English and Hungarian.
    In 2007 the organizers are welcoming entries to a special category as well: "ROMA-IMAGE - Gypsies before and behind the camera". The films in this category will be awarded by a separate jury.

    3) Based on the thirty-four year tradition of the Film Summer University in Eger, in 2007 (from 21st to 27th July) the organizers are introducing the Slow Film Fest, a brand new international film festival. Filmmakers, film lovers and inquirers are welcomed from all over the world to send in their films in four categories:

    - Fiction less than 30 minutes long
    - Fiction more than 30 minutes long
    - Non- fiction less than 30 minutes long
    - Non- fiction more than 30 minutes long

    In the future there will be an annual theme. In this year fiction and non-fiction films will be considered in the competition with the theme of "FREEDOM". Freedom of speech, religious freedom, political freedom, freedom of being a child, an animal, a tree, a planet, and so on.
