– are open for film festivals situated in the region of northeastern Hungary:
The Slow Film Festival is organised in Eger from 25th July to 1st August 2009. The main topic of the festival is: What is the outcome of globalisation? Importance of cooperation, solidarity in global world. The films must be sent by 30th May 2009.
The CineFest International Film Festival for Young Filmmakers is going to take place in Miskolc from 11th to 20th September 2009. This year there will be a special category on the topic: WOMAN IN FOCUS. Application deadline is 31 May 2009.

Slow Film Festival - The Festival is open to any filmmaker.
The number of films with which you can apply for is unlimited in the following two categories:
1.) Documentary film
2.) Fiction film
The main topic of the festival is: WHAT IS THE OUTCOME OF GLOBALISATION? IMPORTANCE OF COOPERATION, SOLIDARITY IN GLOBAL WORLD

CineFest - In accordance with the Festival's specialty, only productions made after or in 2007 may be entered, with the filmmaker (director) being under the age of 35 when making the film. In terms of long features films the director's age could be over 35, but only in case the film is the director's first long feature film. The number of entries is not limited.
Films can be entered in the following categories:
- long feature films (60 minutes or longer)
- short feature films (shorter than 60 minutes)
- documentary films
- animation films
- experimental films
- special category: "WOMAN IN FOCUS"
Films dealing with the social situation and conditions of women, and their special troubles, their successes and problems at work and private life are requested. You can submit long feature films, short films, documentaries, experimental and animation films as well, connected to this topic. The films of this category are to be awarded with a special prize. The conditions to submit a film are the same here as the general conditions.
