Marie Curie SocAnth is a new EU funded training programme aiming to promote the development of Anthropological research and teaching in central, eastern and South-eastern Europe.The 'SocAnth' network comprises: University College London (UCL) and Goldsmith's College, Britain (GSM); Central European University, Hungary (CEU); Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, Germany (MPISA) and Babes-Bolyai University, Romania (BBU).
SocAnth will provide 7 doctoral scholarships in September 2006 and seven more in September 2007 to doctoral students from our target region.
Anthropology doctorands from anywhere else in the world who wish to research in our target region may also apply for funding.
The closing date for this programme applications is 20th March 2006. Decisions will be made before the end of April and you will hear from us within five weeks of the closing date.
