Applications are invited for a lectureship in Modern European History to undertake research, teaching, administration and other activities supporting the work of the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust Studies and the School of Historical Studies of the University of Leicester. Deadline for applications: January 31, 2010.

Applicants should have a doctorate, demonstrate potential to develop as internationally regarded researchers and teachers in the field of Modern European History, and be able to show that they possess the attributes required to successfully direct a major research centre.

Applicants must have an active research interest in some aspect of the Holocaust in Europe. An interest in the Holocaust in Eastern Europe would be particularly desirable.
