The International Cultural Centre in Krakow is happy to inform you that a new fellowship programme of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland Thesaurus Poloniae addressed to foreign researchers interested in Polish and East European history, culture and cultural heritage is being launched.
Thesaurus Poloniae is a three-month fellowship programme of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. The programme is implemented by the International Cultural Centre in Krakow, a leading Polish academic centre. Thesaurus Poloniae is addressed to individuals who carry out research on culture, history as well as the multicultural heritage of the Republic of Poland, both past and present, and broadly understood Central Europe. Both individuals who deal with management and preservation of cultural heritage in practical terms and those who carry out theoretical research in the area of heritage, history, sociology, ethnography and anthropology are invited to participate in the programme.
 
Thesaurus Poloniae is divided into two categories. The first is the ”Senior Programme” addressed to university professors and senior lecturers. The second category is the “Junior Programme”, addressed to PhD holders and doctoral students. The programme provider offers access to research facilities, archives, library resources as well as to education and research programmes of Cracow’s research and cultural institutions. The International Cultural Centre offers fellowship holders single accommodation in the vicinity of the city centre and a place where they can carry out their research work at the Centre’s premises on Krakow’s Main Square. A successful candidate for the programme will be granted a monthly fellowship of PLN 3 500, i.e. ca. EUR 850, for participants in the Senior Programme or PLN 2 500, i.e. EUR 600, for participants in the Junior Programme, as well as a one-off grant which will be received by participants with the first tranche of the fellowship amount to cover the purchase of books and other research aids (PLN 1500, ca EUR 400).  
 
Each year the International Cultural Centre organizes two calls for applications for eligible candidates for the fellowship award. Three fellowships are awarded in each call.

Those interested in applying for a Thesaurus Poloniae fellowship are kindly requested to post the following documents to the International Cultural Centre by the above deadlines:

• CV,
• letters of recommendation from two research tutors (for applicants to the Junior Programme only)
• and an essay on the research programme you plan to conduct during your stay in Krakow (up to 500 words.).

Program stypendialny Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej
realizowany przez Międzynarodowe Centrum Kultury.
 
Thesaurus Poloniae to trzymiesięczny program stypendialny Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego Rzeczpospolitej Polski, realizowany przez Międzynarodowe Centrum Kultury w Krakowie, wiodącym polskim ośrodku akademickim. Thesaurus Poloniae adresowany jest do osób prowadzących badania poświęcone kulturze, historii oraz wielokulturowemu dziedzictwu Rzeczypospolitej, dawnej i współczesnej oraz szeroko rozumianej Europie Środkowej. Do udziału w programie zaproszone są zarówno osoby zajmujące się praktycznym wymiarem zarządzania i ochrony dziedzictwa kulturowego, jak i teoretycznymi badaniami z zakresu dziedzictwa, historii, socjologii, etnografii oraz antropologii.
 
Thesaurus Poloniae realizowany jest w dwóch kategoriach. Pierwsza to Program Senior adresowany do profesorów i starszych wykładowców akademickich. Druga – Program Junior adresowany do doktorów i doktorantów. Międzynarodowe Centrum Kultury oferuje  stypendystom możliwość korzystania z zaplecza naukowego, archiwów, bibliotek oraz programów edukacyjnych i badawczych prowadzonych przez krakowskie placówki naukowe oraz kulturalne. Zapewnia samodzielne mieszkanie w centrum miasta oraz miejsce do pracy naukowej w swojej siedzibie przy Rynku Głównym w Krakowie. Zakwalifikowany uczestnik programu otrzymuje comiesięczne stypendium (3500 zł, czyli ok. 850 euro, dla uczestników programu Senior oraz 2500 zł, czyli ok. 600 euro, dla uczestników programu Junior) oraz jednorazowy, wypłacany wraz pierwszą ratą stypendium grant na zakup książek i pomocy naukowych (1500 zł, czyli ok. 400 euro).  
 
Co roku organizowane są dwie tury naboru, w wyniku którego wyłonionych zostaje trzech stypendystów dla każdej tury.

Czas trwania stypendium: 1 maja – 31 lipca
 
2. tura
Nabór: 15 maja – 30 czerwca
Powiadomienie o wynikach: do końca sierpnia
Czas trwania stypendium: 1 września – 30 listopada
 
Osoby zainteresowane ubieganiem się o stypendium Thesaurus Poloniae proszone są o przysłanie na adres MCK wypełnionego formularza zgłoszeniowego wraz z wyszczególnionymi w nim załącznikami (w języku polskim lub angielskim; formularz dostępny jest na stronie www..mck.krakow.pl).
