The Dragon Forum Documentary Film Workshop will be held in Cieszyn, Poland in July, 29th Friday - 30th Saturday, 2005 during the 5th Film Festival ERA NEW HORIZONS...
 

For filmmakers seeking a door into the film world the Dragon Forum offers international documentary film workshops in the center of Europe as well as pitching during Cracow Film Festival. The workshops will be a master class, i.e. individual instruction by a renowned director over all projects. The basic intention includes presenting ready projects to commissioning editors from European television stations, who will be invited to the Cracow Film Festival in June 2006. Marcel Łoziński, Head of the Documentary Department at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing, will be the Dragon Forum 2006 Master.
The Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing is the Dragon's partner.

The first session of Dragon forum 2006 is focused on scriptwriting. The workshops will take place in the Silesian Castle of Art and Business. The participants of the scriptwriting session are supposed to be the documentary filmmakers who would like to develop under the guidance of the Master:
 

• bigger project and then to present it at the international pitching at the Cracow Film Festival in June 2006
   
• smaller project and to enter the production earlier

In both cases the filmmakers will be helped individually with:
 

development of the script
making of the research
realization of the trailer
preparation of the production
gathering the financing

The participation in the workshop is free of charge. The organizers will provide accommodations for all participants. The official languages of the workshop are Polish and English.
