A great link for all researchers: The United Nations Common Database can be used free of charge since May 2007. This database has the largest and most authoritative compilation of United Nations and agency statistics ever compiled, covering economic, social, financial and development topics. There is no comparable international database available in print or on the Web, from any source.

November 2007 eine Studienreise nach Brüssel zum Thema EU-27 und der Integrationsprozess der Westbalkanländer für Jungwissenschafter/-innen und -akademiker/-innen (Höchstalter: 40 Jahre) und Studierende höherer Semester. The Open Society Institute's Network Scholarship Programs offers supplementary grants to students from selected countries of Eastern and Central Europe and the former Soviet Union (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan). The purpose of the program is to enable qualified students to pursue doctoral studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences at accredited universities in Western Europe, Middle/Near East, Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America. Das EIPA, ein unabhängiges Fortbildungs- und Forschungsinstitut, das die Verwaltungen der Mitgliedsstaaten und Beitrittsländer sowie die Institutionen der EU unterstützt, bietet Postgraduierten/Doktoranden, die an einer österreichischen Universität eingeschrieben sind (Sozial-, Rechts-, Wirtschafts-, Geisteswissenschaften, Theologie), ein Forschungsstipendium, um ihre Fachkenntnisse über die EU und ihre Verwaltung zu vertiefen: Europarecht in Luxemburg (Französisch- und Englischkenntnisse erforderlich); Politische Institutionen und Entscheidungsprozesse der EU, Public Management und Verwaltungswissenschaften und die Politikbereiche der EU in Maastricht/Niederlande (Englischkenntnisse erforderlich). Researchers (doctoral or post-doc students) from South-Eastern Europe (including Romania), as well as young Western scholars working on South-Eastern Europe can apply to the "Europe Fellowships Program", organised by the New Europe College - Institute for Advanced Study in Bucharest and supported by the Volkswagen Stiftung.
