The "first-ever-guide-in-English-that-is-only-about-Kosovo" (as ESI puts it in its newsletter) is out: the Bradt guide book to Kosovo. You can check out excerpts on the ESI website, e.g. a guided tour of Prizren, to Decan and Isniq (a village in Dukagjin).

 

The guide includes

- town maps of Gjilan, Gjakova, Pristina (x2), Mitrovica,
Peja, Decan, Prizren

- regional maps, Germia and Zubin Potok walk maps, details of
scenic bike ride,several walking routes in Dragash, Zubin Potok and
Strpce areas

- more than 150 restaurant reviews

details of hotels and handy numbers for all sorts of shops,
tailors, museums, galleries

- history of Kosovo and all areas from Novo Brdo to Banjska
Monastery, Zvecan castle and many places you didn’t even know

language section includes locally spoken Gheg and Serbian

- sections on Albanian weddings, League of Prizren, Adem
Jashari and other facts and figures.

Other Bradt guides are available for: Bosnia, Belgrade, Serbia,
Dubrovnik, Croatia, Budapest, Hungary, Albania, Slovenia and Llubljana
