The deadline for film entries is approaching for

3) Fresh Film Fest in Karlovy Vary, Czechia

1) Dokufest 2008 - international documentary and short film festival - is an annual event based at Open Air Theatre "Lumbardhi" and Cultural House in Prizren, Kosova. The 7th edition of the Festival will be organized from 4th untill 10th of August 2008. The Rules and Regulations and the Entry Form are accessible by clicking on www.dokufest.com.

The deadline for entries is April 15, 2008

2) The organisers of the International Film Festival of Fine Arts (8-12 October 2008 - Szolnok, Hungary) expect film entries that present, (re)interpret pieces of art by means of cinematic methods or deal with the life or certain stages of one or more artists (art groups). They also welcome works that discover certain tendencies or periods of fine arts or their social context. Last but not least, they also expect films created by using artistic methods or instruments (e.g. animated and experimental films, features).

3) Fresh Film Fest is an international competitive film festival, which focuses on student and first feature films. Concerning the number of shown films as well as the area covered, Fresh Film Fest is the largest international student film competition not only in the Czech Republic but also in the whole of the Visegrad region (Czech Rep., Slovakia, Hungary, Poland). Being the largest film competition of its kind in Central Europe, Fresh Film Fest represents the showcase for the Eastern and Central European student filmmaking and aims to become a key action for progressive and fresh filmmaking and to support the formation of future stars of world auteur cinema.

The fifth annual of the event will take place in Karlovy Vary from August 27 to August 31, 2008. A fulfilled entry form should be accompanied with a DVD/VHS version of the submitted title (unfinished versions are accepted) and sent to the festival address: Fresh Film Fest, Palac Akropolis, Kubelikova 27, 130 00 Prague 3, Czech Republic, Europe.
