These days in Istanbul: Rossitsa Gradeva will speak about “Ottoman Policy with Respect to Non-Muslims’ Cult Buildings, end of 17th beginning of 18th Century” this Friday at the RCAC/Odakule on 19 Dec 2008 at 5PM; Heath Lowry on the following Monday (22 Dec 2008) at ARIT/Arnavutkoy, 6:30 PM: "'Oh By The Way, We're Here To Stay:' The Ottoman Pattern of Urban Conquest in the 14th Century Balkans”
