Political Malaise in Central Europe: Causes and Solutions
Ppublic lecture by Jirí Pehe, Czech Republic.

Jirí Pehe, once Chief Political Advisor to former Czech President Václav Havel, is a political analyst and Director of New York University in Prague. In his lecture he argues that the current political crisis in Central Europe is due both to historical reasons and the rise of populism in the region after EU accession, as well as to a crisis of political leadership, caused by the influence of modern media on politics.
The lecture will be in English, with translation into Bulgarian.
