Forbidden/Forbidding Words//(M)Other Words is the title of a network of literary and academic projects dealing with the memory of words, the power of memory for the communication between different cultures and the impact of multilingualism and translation. Authors have been enhancing the network in diverse lecture series, symposia, publications, and an anthology since the 1990s.
In her introduction, Tzveta Sofronieva, who initiated, established, and supported the project, presents the main ideas and the development of the project.
