The objective of the conference is to bring to the fore the reflections, programmes and strategies which, throughout the Cold War period, aimed at calling into question the bipolar system and replacing it by alternative logics, approaches or concepts (individuals like Kennan, de Gaulle, Brandt, Reagan, Gorbachev; institutions – political parties like RPF, SPD, Eurocommunists; civil society).
