Jeans Style. Aleksandar Flaker and Popular Culture

Die zeitgenössische kroatische Literaturtheorie und ihre institutionelle Einbindung ist ganz besonders von den Arbeiten der sog. Zagraber Stilistischen Schule geprägt. Die Hauptthese der Fallstudie ist, dass die Literaturtheorie am Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts demselben Weg verfolgte wie die kroatische Literaturtheorie, und grenzte sich durch Aleksandar Flakers Arbeiten (besonders aus seiner späten Schaffensperiode) von der Idee ab, wonach der literarische Text das privilegierte Objekt literarischer Untersuchungen sein sollte.
Contemporary Croatian literary theory and its institutional independence are heavily marked by the works of so called Zagreb Stylistic School. The main thesis ot the case study is that literary theory in the beginning of the 20th century followed a similar path as Croatian literary theory, which through the works of Aleksandar Flaker (esp. in the later period of his research) continually demolished the idea of the literary text as the privileged object of literary research.
