Conferences
This site offers access to all papers held at the interdisciplinary conferences of "Kakanien revisited", which are NetCultureScience, which took place in Budapest on December 10-13, 2003, as well as the series of workshops under the title Emergence.
The NCS contributions present different approaches to the concept of „network“, define its applications and discuss their differences and similarities. Common to all is the question after structural, informal and institutional functions and applications, effects and aims – the qualities of networks. The texts touch on aspects of power, communication, forms of communication and last but not least, creativity. The publication has been sponsored by the ASRLO Budapest.
The contributions of the series Emergence cover theoretical thoughts on media configurations and case studies on new media networks and peripheral media phenomena and their innovative capacities in Central and South-Eastern Europe. A particular focus is placed on emergent configurations in the areas theatre, film, journalism, new media.
