Den 20. Jahrestag der sog. Wende nimmt das diesjährige forum junge wissenschaft zum Anlass, um über den Begriff – oder besser: das Prinzip – Osten nachzudenken: Was meint man eigentlich, wenn man vom Osten und mehr noch: von typisch Osten spricht? Warum haben so viele Regionen und Länder ihren Osten? Überlagert neuerdings ein Konzept der Mitte die Dichotomie Ost/West?
Einreichschluss ist der 1. Juli 2009.
The 20th anniversary of the so-called transition gives the reason to this year’s forum junge wissenschaft to think about the notion – or better: principle – East: what does it actually mean if we talk about East or even about typical East? Why do so many regions and countries have their own East? Is the dichotomy of East and West newly superposed by the concept of the centre?
