Monika Sommer) entnommen.

The author discusse some questions regarding the ambiguities of the term "cultural heritage of the world", such as: Is the "world" more than Eruope? Who has an interest in cultural heritage? How is a "living heritage" to be understood?

The article stems from the anthology Kulturerbe als soziokulturelle Praxis (Cultural Heritage as Socio-cultural Practice) (ed. by Moritz Csáky and Monika Sommer).
