Publishing Territories. Spatial Concepts of the Balkans in the Hungarian Journalism

Die Fallstudie untersucht Aspekte der Regionalität, namentlich mitteleuropäische Raumvorstellungen der Balkan-Reportagen im ungarischen Journalismus der vergangenen Jahre. Dabei wird am Beispiel von zwei Reportagebüchern über Sarajevo und Novi Sad sowie den Provinzberichten aus der Vojvodina die Funktion von territorialer Segmentierung im Prozess der journalistischen Wirklichkeitszubereitung exemplifiziert.
The case study focuses on the aspects of regionalism, especially on the Central-European spatial imaginations of the Balkan-reports in Hungarian Journalism of the last years. It will explain the function of territorial segmentation in the process of the so-called journalistic preparation of reality based on two reports on Sarajevo and Novi Sad and on a provincial report from Vojvodina.
