Audiovisual Media and Identity in Southeastern Europe

Das Ziel der Konferenz besteht in der Untersuchung von Identität in Südosteuropa durch die Kommunikationsmedien des fotografischen Bildes und der Tonaufzeichnung. Die Konferenz ist bestrebt, die vernachlässigte Schicht von Sinneswahrnehmung, der Vermittlung von Geschichten, Identitäten und kulturellen Ausdrucksformen zu analysieren. Die Rolle der Fotografie und des Fotografen einerseits und die Rolle der Tonaufzeichnung und des Aufzeichnungsprozesses andererseits wird angesichts der bewussten und unbewussten Identitätskonstruktion und -interpretation in Südosteuropa untersucht.
Einreichschluss ist der 30. Juni 2009.
The objective of the conference is to examine identity in Southeastern Europe by means of its media of communication, specifically that of the photographic image and the sound recording.The conference intends to examine the neglected level of sensory perception and communication of histories, identities and cultural forms of expression. Thus, the role of photography and the photograph on the one hand and the audio recording and the recording process on the other will be examined in the conscious and unconscious construction and interpretation of identity in Southeastern Europe.
