Der Worshop "The Effects of International Labor Migration on Political Learning" widmet sich der Auswirkung internationaler Arbeitsmigration auf die politische Kultur von Migranten und ihrer Familienmitglieder. Ziel ist es sowohl empirische als auch theoretische Arbeiten zu präsentieren, die sich mit den Effekten von Migration auf kulturelle Variablen konzentrieren, d.h. auf Gewohnheiten, Werte, Netzwerke und Normen, die für demokratische Prozesse relevant sind.

The workshop "The Effects of International Labor Migration on Political Learning" seeks to address the role played by international labor migration on political culture of migrants, their family members and other people from the sending societies. Its aims is to present both empirical research and theoretical work, addressing the effects of migration on cultural variables, including attitudes, values, networks and norms that are relevant for democratic processes.
