Räume in Bewegung. Narrative und Chronotopik in Christoph Ransmayrs Der fliegende Berg
AutorenWolfgang Müller-Funk, Wien
The author takes Christoph Ransmayr's novel Der fliegende Berg as an example to show the fruitful connectivity between German Studies and Cultural Studies: The triad of space, gender and myth plays a major role in literature as a whole. Further, the current multimediality of literature ought to be analysed with the help of concepts of media. Last, literature is to be seen as a part of a culture. Thus a cultural analysis should apporach also the concealed and the evident parts of a text and its cultural base.
