Die Deutung der Macht und die Macht der Deutung. Zur Terminologie der ungarischen Sozialgeschichte nach 1945

Autoren

By reconstructing the terminology of social historiography in Hungary after 1945, the study analyses the tensions between the ideology of the one-party state and the methodological assumptions of sociology that affected different descriptions of the society on a long term. In regard to diverse analyses of social stratification and mobility one may explore how deep the interpretative authority of the state could influence the scientific discourse of sociology and what desiderata it raises for contemporary social research.
