[ Conferences ]

This week-end I attended a "Young Scholars Conference on the State of Social Science Research in/on Bosnia-Herzegovina" (with the very general title: Politics and Society 10 Years After Dayton) organised by the Human Rights Centre of Sarajevo University.

Most presentations were held by "international young scholars" such as
Kimberley Coles
(Edinburgh University), Elissa Helms (CEU),
Isabelle Delpla
(Montpellier University),
Lara Nettlefield
(Columbia University),
Stef Jansen
(Manchester University),
Xavier Bougarel
(French National Centre for Scientific Research), Bodo Weber (Hannover University), ... Dino Abrazovic (University of Sarajevo) and Vedran Dzihic were the two only Bosnian "presentators" (besides a few Bosnian discussants).

Unfortunately, only very few students were present, but the atmosphere was not at all "closed" so that I had a lot of interesting coffee break discussions and made a lot of contacts. Let us hope there will be more such conferences, or simply "young researchers meetings". (I will keep you informed!)
