Die Konferenz thematisiert die zentral- und osteuropäische Kultur nach 1989 i.A. und speziell in Hinsicht auf Literatur, bildende Kunst, Film, Musik, komparatistische Medienstudien (Fernsehen, Radio, Film, Journalismus etc.), die politischen Aspekte der Kultur und Kulturpolitik, die Geschichte Zentral- und Osteuropas nach 1989, kulturelle Traditionen und die europäische Integration; Globalisierung, Ökonomie und Kultur, Aspekte der Minderheiten, der Randgruppen sowie von Marginalisierung.

Conference on post-1989 Central and East European culture in general and esp. literature, the arts, film, music, comparative media studies (aspects of television, radio, film, journalism, etc.), the politics of culture and cultural policy, the histories of post-1989 Central and East Europe, cultural traditions and European integration, intersections of society and socialization, globalization, economics and culture, aspects of minorities, the marginal and marginalization.
