Titel

Fragmented Identities: Elias Canetti, Jewish Memories and the New Europe

Autoren

Milena Borden,  London

Inspired by Elias Canetti's childhood memoir "The Tongue Set Free", Milena Borden travelled along the river Danube, starting from Hungary, crossing Romania and ending in Bulgaria visiting Jewish communities along the way. The resulting essay reflects on Canetti's discussion about fragmentation and unity in the twentieth century European identity.
