The Kafka conference in the castle Liblice, which took place in 1963, was one of the spiritual/intellectual preconditions for that departure, which five years later flowed into the Pragues Spring. The field of tension between these dates was the aim of the conference, which was dedicated to Kafka's relation to power. The symposium was looking for answers for whether and how the different points of view of politicians, historians, philosophers and philologists in this context were interrelated.
