Dubrovnik. Spaziergänge durch Ragusa

Autoren

This book presents the contrasting impressions and points of view of an Austrian and a Croatian photographer as they look at Dubrovnik and the environs which made up the city-state of Ragusa in southern Dalmatia. The Viennese author describes the history of the republic, well and less known sights, and the atmosphere of this architecturally unique city. In her search for influences of the Austrian monarchy she discovers the ornamented banisters designed by Otto Wagner for Vienna’s suburban railway and mothballed streetcars originally built in Graz. Contemporary social streams are depicted in portraits of five personalities of the region.
