Jahrhundert.

The article tries to focus again shortly on the thematic, theoretical and methodic basis of the discussion at the symposion Konstruktionen von Modernität und Tradition, organised by the Austrian long term research project of the SFB Moderne in 1999, dealing especially with questions of construction (and de-construction) of terms like "modernism" vs. "anti-modernism" or "modernity" vs. "tradition" between an installation of new models of a "Moderne" and the "Invention of Tradition" at the turn of the 19th century.
