The first meeting of the Wirth Alumni Network has been held on May 21-23, 2010 in Vienna, organised by Gregor Kokorz and Bernadette Allinger. On Saturday May 22nd a workshop was held at the Canada Institute of the University of Vienna. The meeting was funded by the Wirth Institute, the BM.WF, and the Czech Center Vienna.

The Director of the Center for Canada Studies Eugen Banauch had a speech on the Centers Mission and Activities; Ursula Reber gave a presentation of the Platform Kakanien revisited for SEE/CE Studies; Richard Szentpétery-Nagy gave a talk about the current situation of the Hungarian election system and constitution; and Gregor Kokorz and Bernadette Allinger discussed the future activities of the Wirth Alumni Network.
