Faust, ein kroatischer Mann. NS-Faustik und Erinnerungspolitik bei Slobodan Šnajder

Autoren

The article starts with outlining the reception of Goethe’s Faust in Croatia in-between the Austrian-Hungarian and Jugoslav era. In this way, Faust’s adaptability to the construction and deconstruction of national myths is shown. The controversial semi-historical drama The Croatian Faust (1981) by S. Šnajder transforming and dramatising this very local reception of Faust holds an exceptional position. After that the article focusses on the impact of political contexts and arising (post-)Jugoslav conflicts of memory on the semiotics of the drama.

Lokalna recepcija potvrđuje visoku (zlo)uporabljivost Fausta u< procesim konstrukcij i dekonstrukcije nacionalnih mitova. Posebno mjesto u tomu razvoj zauzimlje kontroverzna semi-povijesna drama Hrvatski Faust (1981) S. Šnajder, koja povijest lokalnih uprizorenja Fausta pretvara u dramsku grđ u. Glavni predmet ovog rada jesu promjene značenjskog potencijala Šnajderove drame povezane s mijenama političkih okolnosti i razvojem (post)jugoslavenskih sukoba na polju kolektivne memorije.
