Autoren

Hildegard Kernmayer / Klaus Hödl / Petra Ernst,  Graz

Moritz Csàky, Astrid Kury, Ulrich Tragatschnig) entnommen.

This contribution searches various aspects of the question of a "jewish" identity in Central European modernity. Hildegard Kernmayer considered the topic in the context of the construction of an "Other" and the "modern desire for identity" from a cultural-philosophical perspective, Klaus Hödl addressed inner-jewish identity debates, while Petra Ernst discussed the relation of antisemitism and modernity at hand of Fritz Mauthner's Der neue Ahasver.

This contribution is taken from the volume Kultur – Identität – Differenz (hg. v. Moritz Csàky, Astrid Kury, Ulrich Tragatschnig).
