Im Winter 1937 fand in Budapest und Wien die Uraufführung der weltweit ersten Fußballoperette - Paul Ábraháms Roxy und ihr Wunderteam - statt.
Der Beitrag, Teil eines Kapitels zur Wiener Rezeption der Operetten des ungarisch-jüdischen Komponisten, versucht einige der kulturpolitischen und theaterhistorischen Hintergründe des musikalischen Vaudevilles rund ums runde Leder, vom österreichischen "Wunderteam" bis zu den Arbeitsbedingungen der an dieser Produktion beschäftigten BühnenkünstlerInnen, näher zu beleuchten.

In the winter of 1937 the world première of Paul Ábrahám's football operetta Roxy und ihr Wunderteam took place in Budapest and Vienna.
The article as part of a chapter of a more detailed study on the Viennese reception of the Jewish-Hungarian composer's operettas tries to throw some light on the political and cultural backgrounds of the musical vaudeville surrounding the ball - from the Austrian "Wunderteam" up to the working conditions of the artists employed in this production.
